May 1- me. Look at this adorable door the parent organization did for me, which is so me. Teacher appreciation is just great.
May
2- candy. Tonight we went with friends to see the 2nd avengers. We
don't buy concessions at movies, way too over priced that it makes me a
little sick. But I took pictures of them.
May 3- flower. My wedding bouquet was the most unique and perfect ensemble. Nothing beets lilacs and the orchids that went with it. My sister did a smashing job.
May 4- someone you care for. Here are some of my young women that I care
for dearly. Tonight we went to the cemetery to look for some graves
that some people have asked help for their family history on
www.findagrave.com.
May 5- a gift. It is teacher appreciation week and one of my new students brought me this tasty morsel. How sweet that she took the time to make this for me.
6- purple. This was a bag made for me by a young woman
leader. I don't remember the story behind it, but use it daily to
carry my camera and other goodies.
May
7- I want- I always want a Dunford double chocolate cake doughnut.
Doughnuts are probably my very favorite pastry of all time. After a
rough day I decided that doughnuts were needed but most importantly
WANTED.
May 8- 10 o'clock. Yes, Daniel and I polished off a Tracy's Peanut Butter Cup at Leatherby's. We finished it right about ten. The rest of the time there I was given more photo challenges by the company I was keeping. Nothing like taking secret snaps of those around with out them knowing it, specifically our waiter for the evening.
May
9- watch. Today I took Daniel to one of my favorite Georgia eateries:
ZAXBY'S. Some great friends in our ward joined us for this outing. He
too served in GA and wanted to introduce this goodness to his family.
It was fun to watch them experience it for the first time. It was a
Georgia day, good southern based food and non-stop rain.
May 10- light. Today is Mother's day. Although I am not with my mommy today I wanted to share the fact that she has always been a source of light in my life. This is a snap of the temple quilt she made for Daniel and I. A place where she has taught me I can go to receive light. She, next to the Savior, is always someone I have admired and wanted to be like!! My mother really is the best!
11- sunset. I love sunsets. This was actually taken on the 21, but the one on the 11 was dark rain clouds, you couldn't even see the sun.
May
12- mother. Here is a snap of my sis-in-law. A woman who was blessed
with children because of the sacrifice of others. You do not have to be
the one to carry a child for 9 months to be an amazing mother. She
knows that being a mom is a sacred and important responsibility. Some
days are more difficult than others, but the joy out weighs in the long
run.
May 13- child. Here is a sweet child, one I adore with all my heart. A sweet spirit right from the start.
14- love. This is one of my most favorite pictures in the world!! He does love more than we can comprehend.
15-
stars. The night sky has been crowded with clouds, no chance of
natural stars. It is Memorial Day in this month, so why not these
stars, right?
16-
ride. Nobody I would rather ride with. Coming back from going to the
Payson Temple Open House with the youth from our ward. (Taken on the
21, so maybe I got behind)
17-
it was supposed to be color block but I don't really know what to do
for that. So see how cool this is. My aide at school gave me all this
hp gear. 6 full kits of ink for my printer and a bunch of other free hp
gear. Love it.
18- trees. Today was the first time I saw the new leaves growing up on those tees out front, I love spring.
19-
stripes. The best kind of stripes, well except zebras. I love our
country and the fact that it was founded for/on religious freedom. I
know that this is a blessed country, and it is our responsibility to be
the best we can be and ensure true freedom to all that desire to have
it.
20-
beginning with M. Mountains that have snow on them are a wonderful
sight. Our winter was so mild you can almost say we didn't have it.
We've had about 2 weeks of solid rain that we are so grateful for. Glad
to see some snow somewhere.
21- a sign. I thought this was pretty darn funny. That's right, we believe in food.
22-
bird. We went to the zoo (23) and this bird was just beggin' for his
close up. Too bad I didn't bring the camera with the lens that would
have delivered.
23-
yummy. After the zoo Daniel decided we had to go to Chuck-a-rama.
Look what I found. We had white cake with raspberry filling for our
wedding cake. Not the same but still tasty.
24-
dark. We went with some good friends to Red Butte gardens (25) and we
saw a number of different plants. I have always loved irises, look how
dark and gorgeous it is
25- beauty This is a beautiful spot at Red Butte Gardens. I love waterfalls and these smaller irises.
26- cozy. I think these guys look quite cozy together.
27- smile. I really love moose. But nothing better then seeing Daniel smile while riding one.
28- friendship. The month of May is when Daniel and I changed our friendship to a relationship. A change that is eternal.
29-
age. My grandmother is the perfect example of what age should be. She
may be older but she is as young at heart as I've ever known anyone.
And even though she has had many opportunities and experiences that she
could have let her heart age, she never let it get her down.
30-
road. Here is my brother and his new beautiful wife. They both have
been down a road that originally they wouldn't have chosen, but, it led
them to one another and they have begun their journey together on a new
road. So happy for them.
31
- celebrate. Our family had much to celebrate this weekend. First, my
oldest brother got married. Mom and Dad reported before leaving on
their mission. And today is my brother's birthday. It was an amazing
weekend.
